Railway Recruitment Cell, Northeast Frontier Railway (RRC/NFR) invites ONLINE applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Act Apprentices for imparting of training under the Apprentices Act 1961 in designated trades in workshops and units in the jurisdiction of Northeast Frontier Railway against 5647 slots. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic results (detailed in para 4) and their Document Verification (DV), which will occur in the divisions/units according to the choices indicated in their applications. It is important to note that no centralized merit list will be created. Carpenter, Draughtsman (Civil), Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, Machinist, Mason (Building Constructor), Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic(Refrigeration and Air-conditioning),Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Operator Advance Machine Tools, Painter, Plumber, Sanitary Hardware Fitter, Surveyor, Jigs
- Age Limit: Not below 15 and not above 24 years of age as on the closing date mentioned in this notification.
- Total Vacancies:5647.
Opening Date for Online Applications: 04 November, 2024.
Closing Date for Online Applications: 03 December, 2024.
- Non-refundable fee of ₹ 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only will have to be paid online through payment gateway link given in the notification.
- SC, ST, PwBD, EBC & women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
- (b) Candidates seeking fee exemption as Economically Backward Class (EBC) must fulfill the criteria of having family income of less than ₹ 50,000/- per annum and must upload certificate issued on or after 01-04-2024 as per Annexure-XVI.
- Apprentices will be chosen based on merit for each unit, trade, and community. The merit list will consider the percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI marks for the relevant trade. The final selection will be based on the average of Matriculation and ITI marks.
- For Laboratory Technician (Pathology) and Laboratory Technician (Radiology), merit lists will be based on the percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and 12th Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).
- Marks for calculation will include all subjects in Matriculation/Higher Secondary, rather than just selected subjects or a 'best of five' approach.
- For ITI, the average marks from the consolidated statement for all semesters or the provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT will be considered. Any false declaration of marks will result in immediate disqualification.
- NOTE: In the event of a tie between two or more candidates with equal marks, the candidate with
Apprentices will be paid monthly stipend as per prescribed rates.
- (a) Mark sheet and Pass Certificate of Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent.
- (b) Mark sheet and Pass Certificate of Senior Secondary (Class 12) or its equivalent with Physics,Chemistry & Biology for the two categories of Medical Laboratory Technicians.
- (c) Certificate for proof of date of birth if it is not mentioned in (a) above.
- (d) Consolidated mark sheet for all ITI semesters of the relevant trade OR Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
- (e) National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional Trade Certificate issued by NCVT /SCVT.
- (f) Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- (g) Certificate for EWS candidates.
- (h) Disability certificate, in case of PwBD candidates.
- (i) Discharge certificate / Serving certificate, in case of candidates applying against ex-Servicemen quota.
- (j) Certificate for Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates seeking Fee Exemption
- (a) 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- (b) 3 years for OBC candidates
- (c) 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
- (d) 10 additional years for Ex-Servicemen (ExSM), equivalent to the length of service in the Defense Forces, plus an additional 3 years if they have completed a minimum of 6 months of continuous service.

- Register and log in; only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification.
- Ensure all information is accurate; false information will result in disqualification.
- Print the application after submission for your records; eligible candidates will be called for Document Verification.
